Its even worse when they have had years to get this right, and this still somehow passed the multiple QA checks that should have been done. my best faith take is it was a new hire who didn't actually research if the character existed before and just assumed what the character sounded like without actually listening to the japanese version, but even that is a hard COPE to try and justify how this happened and seems very unlikely. yeah its only been a couple of months since CS 4 ending and she hasn't changed character models at all either so, sadly it seems like it is leaning towards it being just a lazy or poor choice on the part of the DUB team. The problem is that in the Japanese VA she still sounds almost exactly the same as in Zero and Azure so there was no need to "age her up" in the English voice.īarely any time has passed for her voice to suddenly sound like almost an adult. Again that could also just be me trying to explain something out of love of the characters. She doesn't have the power she once did, but as far as I can tell she has all the knowledge that she did so she's not trying as hard to play the part of the 'cute kid' anymore. I am probably being an apologist here because I fully admit I Stan pretty hard for the Crossbell crew, but I wonder if giving her a more mature voice was an intentional design choice. It's only been a few years, but I guess she might have grown up a bit. Sounds like someone who could handle things on her own better (OK realistically in crossbell KeA is actually kinda independent and a great chef), but less like someone who would be really clingy and attached like KeA usually was in the crossbell games.
